When
I was 11 years old, I asked Santa Clause for a
drum set. My family was
awakened at 4 a.m. by the sound of me banging
and I haven't stopped since! Growing up, we had
a choice of piano lessons or a paper route...of
course, I chose piano. I learned to play guitar
at St. Martinville Sr. High. As a teenager, Albert
Bergeron and I would sit in awe while we watched
"The Young Rebels" practice. We thought
George (keyboards) was so cool! My first band
was "The Organization" in 1974 with
Ed Eastin, Albert, & Darren Theriot. In the
summer of 1976, we broke up and Ed and I joined
Russell and Jody Castille to form "Southern
Hospitality." "Sideshow" and "KTB"
were bands that followed before I joined Nikl
Beer in December of 1990.
I was born & raised in St. Martinville and
now live in Maurice. Lisa, Cory, Sarah and I live
happily in the "kawn-try" with our new
home and three-legged dog, Fred. My day job is
at Grainger Industrial Supply in Lafayette. I
feel privileged to have a hobby that I love so
much, and to be able to play with such a great
group of guys.
