I was born and raised in St. Martinville, Louisiana. I received my first guitar in 1967, when I was 11 years old. I bought it from Sears for $15, and I joined my first band, "Southern Freight," in 1970. Some other groups I have played with over the years include: Charlie, Allen Wayne & Friends, Blue Leather, Louisiana Red, Johnny Allen & the Memories and finally, the Nikl Beer Band. I have been a member of Nikl Beer since 1990.

I am married to Willette Dugas of Loreauville, and we have 2 daughters, Nadine and Leila. I graduated from St. Martinville Sr. High in 1974. After living in Loreauville for the past 22 years, our family moved to Youngsville in January of 2003. In addition to playing music as a hobby, I am a licensed pilot and enjoy flying and fishing whenever time allows.
