My
brother, Rodney "Rock," taught me how
to play the guitar when I was around 12 years
old. Our family gatherings almost always had a
jam session before the day ended. I played gospel
music in several churches around the area before
ever joining a band. The first band was Bobby
Dumatrait and I, and we had a lot of fun playing
acoustic stuff together. Acoustic music will always
be my favorite. Bobby and I joined together with
Mark Dore "God Bless Him," who was in
a band called Freedom. I played in a few other
bands and another acoustic gig with Raymond Hebert
and Steve Bonin.... that was a great time! We
had a sweet sound going for a quite a while.
I
was invited to join Niklbeer in 1990, and while
I can't remember the date, I do remember playing
with a lot of great people and musicians along
the way. To name a few: Bubba Castille, Jon Meloncon,
Loula Burton Savoy, Robert Burton, Donny Champeaux,
and most of all, Mr. Bobby Price. I thank them
all and wish them well.
